Here Comes April

Keeping a blog shows how fast time flies by. Our niece, Katie, is growing up so quick...I can't believe she's almost 2! After church yesterday, we played in the sandbox over at my parents' house. Katie loves to be outside! She's also talking like crazy and says both of our names a lot.

I'm going to the chiropractor twice this week. After he does the adjustments, you get to lay face down and have these electric heat things on your back, which feels weird, but in a good way. Then you lay on the rolling bed for about 10 minutes, which massages your back. Good times!

Babies!

Today we had a baby shower for a good friend of mine, Donna Jo, who I've known since about 9th grade. She's due in less than a month! It's funny because I told her and another friend to see my doctor, and both are having girls named Hannah.
These are some of my best friends from high school. It's hard to believe our 10 year reunion will be next year!

It's Mother Goose!

We finally did our preschool program after being postponed a couple of weeks. I think it turned out pretty cute, and the kids seemed to have a lot of fun! Here's a picture of the first class (I'm holding a baby doll if you can't tell). It's hard to get an 18 month old to do anything but stand there...
Anyway, I'm glad it's over AND it's nice to know that summer's only a couple of months away. Woo-Hoo!

Easter Egg Hunt

We had a good time watching Katie today. She seemed to love hunting for eggs. I just wish it hadn't gotten so cold. At least it didn't rain! My dad (the artist) taught Katie how to use the sidewalk chalk. She's going to have a lot of fun playing outside this summer. We got her one of those turtle sandboxes, and we're bringing over our kiddie pool we used for Rudy last year. I don't think he'll miss it too much! Oh, the duck in the first picture sings the "Chicken Dance" song, and Katie does the motions to it. So cute! I wish I had it on video, but you can imagine it instead.

Chiropractic Care

Wow! Getting your back and neck popped by a professional is a crazy feeling. The whole experience was good, and I'm going back next week. I don't know how long I'll see him, but it's really supposed to help with my TMJ. So, I got up at 5 something this morning and worked out with my husband. I'm also going to play golf with Aaron this afternoon...I think I should score some points for doing all the things HE wants to do! If it was up to me, I'd probably be on the couch watching TV all day. Anyway, I hope you all have a fun Easter weekend :)

Spring Break

Here's some of my favorite pictures from my quick trip to Abilene!
Jackson is such a happy baby, most of the time, and I enjoyed getting to spend time with him, Christi, Brian, Brad, Amanda, and the Clute's :) We had some rain the past couple of days, and now we get to call the insurance company to come look at our roof (we have a leak in our bathroom). There's always SOMETHING to go wrong when you own a house. O-well! I hope all of you who have the week off are enjoying your spring break. I know I am!

Yogalaties

I'm so tired! It's after 10:00, and my last load of laundry's in the dryer. I'm sore from going to yoga AND pilates this week, and I'm so glad to be on spring break! I'll be in Abilene the first part of the week, so I'm sure to have some pictures from my trip. Not much else is going on, but I did make an appointment next week with a chiropractor (which could help me with a lot of things including my TMJ and infertility). I might also look into doing acupuncture! Oh, don't forget to wear green on Monday :)

Negative

The test results came back negative. I thought it might be better news since the nurse called earlier this time, but I guess not.

A month ago our water heater broke, and yesterday evening I thought we were in for more trouble. Our backyard looked like a swamp...and still does. My wonderful father-in-law came over, and after quite an investigation, we discovered the water was coming from the neighbors behind us (diagonally). These are the same lovely neighbors we've had trouble with before, egging us in the middle of the night. So, we drove around the corner to let them know, and it turns out they left a water hose on for who knows how long!!! That's my fun story for the day. I'm sorry I couldn't have better news to share.

Bahamas

Aaron surprised me today! We're going on a cruise to the Bahamas at the end of May (Memorial Day weekend). I'm so excited to go somewhere fun this summer. Now I have something to look forward to!

I go to the doctor on Wednesday for my blood test, but they won't call until later that afternoon with the results. I'll spread the word as soon as I know something! Unfortunately, we had to delay our preschool program to the Thursday after spring break. Rain or shine, we'll be doing the program on March 27th!

Snowdog

While Aaron was on his way home from work, I made Rudy a girlfriend. Then we played in the snow, which was a lot of fun! We just ate some soup, and now we're getting ready to watch Lost. What a perfect evening!

SNOW

I can't believe it's snowing, and spring break is only a week and a half away. Crazy! Our program got cancelled for tonight, and who knows if we'll have school tomorrow. We'll probably do the show next Thursday. In other news, I found a new show on the Discovery Health channel. It's called, Quint-essential, and it's about a young couple having quintuplets (two girls and three boys). I made Aaron watch it with me last night, and we learned a lot of interesting things. Like I didn't know each child adds on about 500 calories, which means she was having to eat 2500 more calories than what she normally eats. Wow!

Play Date

We had a dog party today! My mom's hosting bunco tonight for her work friends, so I picked up their miniature schnauzer to play with Rudy. His name's Brady (black dogs don't show up too well in pictures). If you look up close at the picture, you'll see the corner of our couch is chewed up from when Rudy was a puppy.
I started looking through old pictures, and I found this one from last year's snow day. Look at our little guy!

Leaping into March

I've been asked if I feel any different, but the mind can play funny tricks. Sometimes I think I feel nauseous, but who knows. The preschool program is actually this Thursday, which will help keep my mind off of things. Aaron's at a men's workshop at our church today, so it's just me and Rudy right now. I gave him a bath this morning, and now I'm washing his favorite blanket, which was covered with dog hair. What an exciting day! I'm so ready for new shows to come on because I've been watching 90210 re-runs on the soap network (thanks Christa for telling me about it). Lost has been really good (although last week's episode was a little bazaar)! I can't wait for Easter...I bought Katie's Easter dress, and I also got her a pink hat with a matching pink purse. We're going to hide Easter eggs at my parents' house, so I'll definitely take pictures of her hunting for eggs!
