7 Months Old!!!

Bethany and Zachary are 7 months! I was looking back at some older pictures, and here's one from when they were just 7 weeks old. They look so different!I took my own measurements at home, but I realized I weighed them with their clothes on. So they probably weigh a little less in just their diapers! Bethany weighs 16 pounds, 8 ounces, and she's 28 inches long. Zachary weighs 18 pounds, 2 ounces, and he's 27 inches long.

Our Schedule

Zachary has two teeth coming in on the bottom, and Bethany's got one coming in as well. She rolls over all the time, but Zachary's started rolling over too. It's fun to watch them learn new things!

We usually start our day around 7am. Most mornings I feed her first. She eats a jar of fruit and then about 4 ounces of formula. Then she'll play and watch Blue's Clues while I feed Zachary. They'll watch Disney's Mickey Mouse Clubhouse while I eat my breakfast. Then we'll play for a couple of hours before taking a nap. Lunch is around 11am...about 6 ounces of formula. The afternoon is spent playing and napping. Around 3pm we eat some vegetables and more formula, and then dinner comes around 7pm. Sometimes they'll eat 8 ounces before bed, and I'm happy to say I can put both of them down and usually they can fall asleep on their own. I can't believe my babies are about to be 7 months old. I know I say it every month, but the time is flying by!

Back from the lake!

Aaron's new hobby is fishing, so he decided him and his brother were going to take the boat out in Granbury this weekend and fish. While they were out, the kids and I got to hang out with Grandma Billie and Papaw Richard! I think we all had fun, although Aaron and Anthony DID have to paddle back to the dock on Friday night, which took over an hour. The funny thing is the boat started right back up this morning. They got a good workout and slept well...

Thanks Grandma and Papaw for letting us spend the night!

Play Date

This afternoon we had Krystal and Avery come over to play with the twins! Krystal and I grew up in the youth group together, and Avery was born about a month or so before Bethany and Zachary. It was fun to see them together! Just the girls played until Zach decided to wake up from his nap.

Crazy Kids

Here's a typical day at the Rader house. You'll notice Rudy (our labradoodle) has to be wherever we are! You can also see Zachary's watching the Baby Einstein dvd, and then Bethany's in her own little world. There's such a difference between boys and girls!

Playing Together

I can already tell we're going to have many lessons on sharing around here! One thing we're good at is sharing our germs. We haven't been going outside as much lately because we ALL have allergies. So, here's Bethany and Zachary "playing together" during their tummy time. As you can see, they like to grab the same toys. Usually she wants all the toys to herself, so she'll try to get whatever he has...even Zach's pacifier!

Sippy Cups

I love my babies, even when they wake me up before the sun comes out! Here we are before church on Mother's Day. I put some water in their sippy cups for the first time yesterday. They chewed on them more than they drank, but it was pretty successful!

Splish Splash

A couple of days ago I took a video of Bethany "singing" and playing. I love to see their little personalities coming out! We also went over to Aaron's parents' house last weekend to try out their new pool. I think Zachary was more into it and probably could have stayed in the pool all afternoon!

Go Fish

Aaron, his dad, and his brother went fishing on Saturday morning. They caught their limit of fish in just a few hours. Here's some of the fish before their guide cleaned them.

Wanda Ross

My Grandma Billie's sister passed away on Friday night. Wanda's on the far right in this picture, which was taken with my Great Grandma Willie back when she was still alive. Mary and Beverly are two of Wanda's daughters, and we look forward to seeing them on Tuesday. It's always sad to lose someone we love, but we can take comfort in knowing she's in a better place.

It's all about me :)

My 1st official mother's day started on Thursday with a massage. When I got back to the house, Aaron's aunt said there was a surprise waiting for me in the kitchen. An Edible Arrangement was delivered along with a teddy bear and balloon (from Aaron and the kids of-course).

I'm so lucky to be their mom!

Aaron actually went on a camping/fishing trip with his dad and brother, which having some quiet time to read and relax after the kids have gone to bed is a gift in itself. Hopefully I can get a good picture with Bethany and Zachary on Sunday, since I'm usually the one taking the pictures. Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there...including mine!

Wordless Wednesday: Sleeping?

Wildcats

He laughs! So does she, but he'll especially laugh when you're changing his clothes and tickle him under his arms. Her new trick is eating her toes! I tried my best to get a picture of Bethany and Zachary in their ACU outfits. They don't want to stay as still these days :)

Sunny Sunday

We put Zachary in the swing at my parents' house today. I think he enjoys being outside. Usually he'll go right to sleep on our walks, but he got to sit up front this evening and was wide awake. Bethany rode in the back, and you can see how she ended up. The last picture shows how I found her this morning!
