Wonderful Weather

Katie spent the night on Saturday. We grilled hamburgers and hot dogs for dinner, and then we went to our neighborhood park to run off some energy. She's such a good helper! I can't believe I'm now 27 weeks along. I'm so glad the weather's getting cooler too. I love fall...it's my favorite season!

Being Sentimental

Mom says I'm not sentimental, but I think I am. I keep lots of things from my past...just not EVERYTHING! Here's the picture of my mom about to bring me home from the hospital. She gave me the same pink dress for Bethany to wear, and the blanket my grandma made is laying on the bed.

Shower #1

Thank you to Bridget and my mom for hosting our first baby shower! We got lots of cute things to start our collection. The blanket was actually made by my Grandma Hodges for me when I was born. Mom also gave me the dress I was brought home from the hospital wearing. It's size 0-3 months, so we might have to wait a while to get a picture of Bethany in it. I'm now 26 weeks and enjoying these quiet, lazy days!

56 Years Young

We celebrated my mom's birthday last night...

I hope she has a great birthday today! If any of you go to church with us, you probably know my Grandma Hodges has Alzheimer's. I've been reading books about the disease, and I've learned some interesting things. For one, their development regresses in almost the same way as an infant grows. Also, while a child hasn't yet formed inhibitions, those with dementia lose their inhibitions. It's definitely been hard watching my grandma slip away, and I pray for my grandad who has been with her every step of the way.

Baseball Game

Last night we took our twins to see the Rangers beat the Minnesota Twins. Haha! I didn't get a picture at the game, so for my 25 week belly shot, here's some more pictures from the lake.

Granbury

On Friday afternoon we drove to my grandparents' house in Granbury. We had lots of fun with the family and especially taking the boat out. My dad and Aaron went fishing Saturday morning. I was told it's not about catching fish (because they didn't catch any). The kids had fun swimming in the lake...after being outside and riding in the boat, my feet started swelling. I didn't get to work on my tan as much, but it was still a fun weekend.

Our babies are now little eggplants...haha!

The size of my belly's also getting bigger at 24 weeks.

Doctor Appointment

Yesterday's appointment went very well. All he did was check the heartbeats (both were 130 beats per minute), and he measured my belly. I'm measuring a month ahead, but with twins I'm right where I need to be. Our next visit will be in a month, and I'll have my one hour glucose test. I can't believe the third trimester is right around the corner. Here's my calendar to keep track of each week we make it a little bit further along.

Congrats Geddie's

Our weekends always go by fast...they're fun but tiring! Last night we got to go to a wedding for some friends of ours, Chris and Mindy Geddie. We also took the opportunity to take pictures. I'm now 23 weeks!
