Family Reunion

Today was a great day!  We got to spend the day with my family in Granbury, which included some from Oklahoma, Kansas, and Arizona.  The boat got a lot of use today!

Cousins from my dad's side of the family.

With Grandma Billie and Papaw Richard.

My cousin drove all the way from Tucson.  Love them!

Great Grandkids

Aaron gave boat driving lessons.

An update on our house: we signed papers to sell, and the inspection was done today.  The closing date is set for August 30th, so we're trying to figure out where we want to move.  We've looked in Hurst, Grapevine, and Colleyville...tomorrow we'll be looking in Aledo.  We haven't found anything yet, so please pray for us as we've got some big decisions to make!

Sea World

Aaron's parents took Bethany and Zachary to Sea World this past weekend.  I think they had a lot of fun!

Mission Trip

We're back from Nicaragua!  Since we took over 30 people from our church this year, a bus picked us up in Managua.

We got some coffee at the beginning of the week.  This was like a sweet frappuccino!

I met this cute 6 month old boy on Monday.

Aaron made some friends while in character as Daniel (we acted out the story).

On Thursday I did some face painting while others from our group worked with our doctor, dentist, and checked vision to give people glasses.

The highlight of my trip was when I got to go to Casa Materna and deliver fabric and other baby items I've been collecting since last year.  There were about 20 pregnant ladies (some as young as 14) staying in Jinotega.  They live there until their babies are born, so one thing they can do is make their own baby blankets to pass the time.  This girl had already put one together.

We also gave pedicures and manicures.

The kids were actually out of school for a Nicaraguan holiday all week.  I got to help deliver supplies to build a new school, serve soup for lunch one day, help at a mobile clinic and with vision testing, as well as help teach bible stories at a teacher's workshop.  It was a great week!

And Bethany got to wear her dress from Nicaragua to church today.  So glad to be home :)

Summer Days

I'm taking a break from packing.  We don't really have a plan about where to move, but we'll see if anyone is interested in buying our house and then go from there.  The kids have been pretty good entertaining themselves, and luckily it hasn't been as hot outside.  Here's a couple of pictures from today...we're still playing with our seashells from the beach.

4th of July

I haven't had time to post in a while because we're getting our house ready to put on the market. What a job it is to get your house ready, almost to the point where you don't want to sell it anymore! More on the house later. We went to Granbury on the 4th of July, and then we met Aaron's parents, brother, and his girlfriend in Hurst for fireworks. It was a long day, but the kids had fun!
