Our New Swing

I forgot to mention we got a new swing, so now we have two. The older one works part of the time! As you can imagine, our house is full of toys :)

Baby Einstein

Happy 4 months to Bethany and Zachary!

A lot of people have asked me what's our schedule like with twins. Well, every day is a little different, but they sleep an average of 8 hours at night. During the day I feed them about every 4 hours. Sometimes they're up at the same time and we play with our toys, but usually one sleeps in the swing while I'm up with the other one. Right now they're both napping, but that won't last long. This morning we watched a Baby Einstein dvd. And I have to tell a funny story because yesterday I changed Zachary's mess of a diaper (up the back)! So while I was changing him in the nursery I had Bethany in the exercauser, which happened to be in front of the tv. I thought she was being very quiet, so I looked to see what she was up to, and her eyes were glued to the television watching Friends. She's turning into me!

When we found out we were having a boy and a girl, we got all kinds of homemade gifts. I love them all! Here's Bethany and Zachary with their onesies made by Donna Jo and blankets made by my cousin, Angie.I had to stick a couple of pictures of the twins playing in their exersaucer. This last picture is so funny to me because Bethany is one minute older than Zachary, but he's definitely bigger in size!

Happy Heart Day

We started our day with baths (after Zachary decided to pee everywhere). Then we headed to church and lunch at Grandma and Grandpa's house. They each got a book for Valentine's Day. Katie and Randal got puzzles! Next we went by Gigi and Papa's house, and the twins got some cute outfits. I love my little valentines!

Crazy Snow

I feel like a little kid again! Too bad Zachary and Bethany aren't big enough to play. I've posted pictures of Aaron's snowman and my snow woman. Which one do you think is better???

Rudy

Our other baby is a playful labradoodle. He's spoiled rotten, sleeps in our bed, and even though his bark wakes up the babies sometimes...we still love him! This picture was taken about 3 years ago, long before the twins came along.

Today is a "stay in pajamas" kind of a day. Bethany and Zachary love to look at the fan. It gives me a break from holding babies!
The swing is also a favorite at our house. It puts them right to sleep!

Cousins

Katie, Randal, Bethany, and Zachary are going to have so much fun growing up together. Katie will be 4 in June, and Randal will be 2. I tried to get a picture of all of them together, but it didn't turn out so well. Here's one of the girls being girly :)

Talkin' Twins

Last night we gave baths to the twins. I also tried spiking Zachary's hair with some gel...I think he needs to grow a little more hair first! My least favorite chore right now is clipping their nails. I try to do it after they eat and they're a little more calm, but a lot of times they end up crying like crazy! Any tips?

These sleep sacks by Halo are the best! They're wearable blankets, and the zipper goes from the bottom up, so it's easy to change them in the middle of the night. I think they might roll over pretty soon. It's fun to listen to them "talk" but I really can't wait for them to start laughing!

Sad News

Yesterday morning my Great Uncle died of a heart attack. He would have been 76 today! This picture was taken last year of my Grandma Billie, Ralene (Val's wife and my Papaw's sister), Papaw, and Val. They were planning a trip to Texas in April to visit family and see the twins. I know he would have loved to meet them. We'll miss you, Val!
