MS Walk

Last year Aaron walked with his brother in the Ft. Worth MS Walk. This year we decided to make our own team. Aaron, Anthony, and Lindsey ran, and the rest of us strolled! The first picture is Tony and his brother, Marty...acting normal :)

New Tricks

It's hard to believe my babies are 5 months old and starting to eat baby food!!! They're also learning new tricks like rolling over and laughing. I'm trying to catch these things on video, but they seem to get camera shy when I start recording them. According to my calculations, both of them are about 25 1/2 inches long. Bethany weighs 15 pounds, 4 ounces. Zachary weighs 15 pounds, 8 ounces.
And now their giraffe pictures...they've really grown!

Crying

We just got back from a walk, and unfortunately Bethany and Zachary are both already awake! Our morning has been filled with lots of crying. I think Bethany cried for about an hour before falling asleep. My other issue with her is all the spitting up...we're on bib #4 right now! They're both drooling quite a bit and chewing on anything they can get in their mouths. I don't feel any teeth coming in yet, but maybe they're thinking about teething? Anyway, we survived the cold weekend and even got a visit from Jill :)

Spring has Sprung

Today was my first trip to the Dallas Arboretum. It was fun to be out in the sunshine! I think we had 9 adults and 17 kids from our young married's group at church. Wow! Here's some of the best pictures I got...

All Smiles

I want to thank my mom for coming over today on her spring break to help clean and disinfect my house! Aaron stayed home sick yesterday, so thanks Mom for helping me get our house back in order. We spent our afternoon playing and wishing the weather wasn't so yucky!

It always makes you feel so good when they smile at you.

Rice Cereal

I managed to feed the kids some rice cereal this morning, and they seemed to like it better.
Messy faces!

Last night before our church small group, I got a picture of Bethany and Zachary in these onesies Christa made. You'll see Zach has a scratch on the side of his face. We had a little incident with the living room blinds. Aaron says girls like guys with scars!

Walking Weather

We went on another walk today. This time they both fell asleep and stayed asleep for a good while after we got home!

I'm definitely ready for spring, and I'm actually ready for Easter. I got easter baskets for the kids, and I've been filling them up with goodies. They have a "wish list" that I ordered some things from, which I guess the gifts are for me instead of them. I got some bigger sleepsacks and new Baby Einstein videos. This is so I don't have to watch the same ones over and over again! We do have a favorite tv show around here. It's called Yo Gabba Gabba, and I guess they like it because of the singing, dancing, and bright colors. I know it's silly, but I'm pretty sure Zachary laughed when I turned it on today. Whatever makes them happy!

New Experiences

Our pediatrician told us last week that the reason Bethany likes to turn her head to the left is because of something called Torticollis. It's a tightening of the neck muscles and requires some stretching every day. She's not a fan of the stretches! I always wondered why she sleeps in such a weird position. We also tried rice cereal this weekend, but I think we'll probably wait another week before trying again!
Zachary took a few bites of rice cereal.

Commotion in the Ocean

Time for some pictures of my niece and nephew. Their program was an "under the sea" theme, so Katie's class was dressed up as sharks. She did such a good job! Randal's class got to be little fish, which the sharks attacked. He was so tired, but of-course he made a very cute fishy!Way to go Christa, Shara, and all the others who worked so hard on the preschool program. I know how good it feels to have that out of the way!

Fresh Air

What a beautiful day! I don't want to jinx it, but we're having such a good day...so far. We've had some play time, baths, and we went on about a 20 minute walk. Zachary fell asleep as soon as we got to the end of our driveway. Bethany was quiet but wanted to look around. She finally fell asleep when we got home and got to swing. Tonight we're taking the kids to Aaron's parents' house so we can go see Katie and Randal in their preschool program. I can't wait!

Healthy Babies

I know I'll get in trouble for not sharing any pictures. I meant to take some at the doctor's office today, but that didn't happen. So here are their 4 month sizes! Bethany weighs 13 pounds, 9 ounces, and she's 25 inches long. Zachary weighs 14 pounds, 1 ounce, and he's 24.5 inches long. My predictions were pretty close! I guess that 1/2 inch makes a difference because when I put Bethany in the exersaucer she'll turn around and around. Zachary will pretty much stay in the same spot you put him in and loves watching the Baby Einstein videos. Their personalities match up to when they were in my tummy too. She was always moving around. He's a lot calmer! The doctor was happy with how they're growing, and he said we could start introducing rice cereal. I guess it's time to get out the high chairs!!!

New Look

First, I want to thank Melanie Brunett for helping me with my new blog look. I thought it was time to get rid of the pink, and it really wasn't as hard to do as I thought. Anyway, tomorrow we'll be taking the twins for their 4 month appointment and shots. They're making so many more facial expressions now. Aaron saw Bethany wave on Sunday, and I got to see her tongue roll. Zachary's more laid back. I love those chubby cheeks, and he'll just about laugh when you tickle him. You can't really tell from the picture, but his hair's actually getting long enough to spike up. These babies are so much fun!!!
