Happy Birthday, Papaw

We all went to Granbury this weekend to celebrate my papaw's 81st birthday.  It was a little chilly on Saturday, but we still got the boat out and let the kids take turns "driving" it.

Grandma Billie got their wheelbarrow out for Zachary and Bethany to ride in, which brought back memories from when they lived in Southlake.  I found a picture of me and my cousin, John, riding in the same wheelbarrow.

I snapped a picture of Bethany on the way home from school.  She's always been a thumb sucker...the picture below is from two years ago.

6 months old

Abilene

Yesterday we took the kids to Abilene.  Christi's youngest, Colin, had his third birthday party, and Bethany and Zachary didn't waste any time joining in on the fun.  Daddy's good at swinging!

We couldn't leave without visiting ACU.  And of-course I got a snowcone too!

Bugs!

Zachary got a bug bite last night (not sure what kind of bug) above his left eye.  It was swollen when he woke up this morning, and when I called to see how much Benadryl I could give him, they wanted to check it out.  We spent the afternoon at the pediatrician's office, and the doctor said it was probably an allergic reaction.  Hopefully it will get better in a couple of days and not turn into an eye infection.

Now he's sleeping while Bethany and I get to play.

Spring Bluebonnets

Here's my attempt at getting some bluebonnet pictures this year.  I got Bethany and Zachary's school picture proofs, so hopefully I'll have them soon.  They turned out cute!

Easter

Zachary and Bethany had an Easter egg hunt at school on Thursday.  We didn't get a picture with the Easter bunny though...the best we did was give him a high five.

We got to meet my cousins' baby, Delaney Hodges, on Friday.

Swingin'

We spent yesterday afternoon at my parents' house.  The guys put together a new swing set.  Here's Randal trying it out.

And here's what I found when I came out of the laundry room today.  Bethany covered Zachary up with all her dolls and stuffed animals.  He looks pretty comfortable!
